HSAS: Environmental Club
The Environmental Club (also affectionately known as the “Tree Club”) is one of the most popular school organizations. Aside from starting up the garden that graces the entrance of the school, the club actively maintains the green environment both within and outside of the building. They have fought the Sisyphean battle of getting students to abide by the mandatory recycling program and raising awareness of the environmental state of our planet. The club hosted a couple hiking trips over the years, with the big one being up Breakneck Ridge every spring. All current students interested in participating this year should seek out Mr. Thoman for more information.
